Driving the participation of women & girls with disability
EDGA is a signatory and committed to The R&A Women in Golf Charter. The charter recognises the importance of encouraging more women and girls to give golf a try and the responsibility of golfs stakeholders to provide a more welcoming experience.
The EDGA 4-Stage for women and girls with a disability, identifies a clear pathway for female golfers to enter the game and subject to their wish to progress through the stages of; Sampling – Participating – Competing.
Each step of this programme builds upon the last and allows golf providers to build a lasting programme that will encourage more women and girls to take up golf.
EDGA’s Director of Development and graduate of The R&A Women in Golf Leadership Programme is Aimi Bullock, who will be happy to provide further information.
Below is a PDF file of Aimi’s recent presentation at the EDGA General Assembly, including strategies on growing participation for Women & Girls with a disability.
